The first of a series of weekly video updates from the Alba party has been posted online.
In this update, we learn that the party is now at over 5,500 members overtaking the LibDems and Labour. A major achievement for a party that has only been around a couple of months. Anyone who joins the party before the end of June will become a founder member and be able to attend and vote at the first party conference due to be held in September.
At this first party conference, members will be able to vote on resolutions and elect candidates for the party leadership and executive roles. In the meantime, individuals from the 32 candidates who stood for the Scottish Parliament election will be picked to fill these executive roles on a temporary basis until votes are cast in September.
